Most woodworking books hand you a plan. This one hands you the arithmetic behind the plan - so when you want the cabinet six inches wider, you do not need anybody's permission.
You will build a mid-century sideboard. Its entire plywood carcase comes out of one 8 × 4 sheet, it stands on four tapered legs splayed in two directions at once, and its shelf is sized not to sag.
