Your First 90 Days as Chief AI Officer

Monday morning. Your CEO just named you Chief AI Officer.
By Friday, the board wants to know what AI is worth to the company.
By Friday you need an answer. This book is how you get one.

You walk in to no team, no budget line, and dozens of AI pilots scattered across functions you have never met - each owned by an enthusiast, not one of them tied to a single euro of value. I have watched this exact morning land on new AI leaders again and again. Most burn the first quarter in tool demos instead of decisions. The ones who survive do the opposite: they claim authority first and touch tools last.

The First-90-Days Mandate Map turns that panic into a sequence:

• Days 1-15: claim your decision rights and draw the line against IT.
• Days 16-45: set the strategy and replace orphan pilots with a portfolio.
• Days 46-70: fix the data and foundations underneath.
• Days 71-90: ship one governed result the board can hold you to.

Every worksheet for those ninety days is printed inside the book - 51 ready-to-use templates, no email walls, no downloads, just turn the page.

Other books on this role are written for the abstract. The Chief AI Officer's Handbook runs about $39.99 in paperback. An AI strategy consultant bills $300 an hour; an executive AI workshop runs into the thousands. This book costs less than dinner.

Take the seat before someone shrinks it. Start with Day 1.
