Opis

Dry powder inhaler is an excellent technology available to treat asthma. Though it is more advanced than the metered dose inhalers in terms of its usage, it has some drawbacks, which include deposition of large carrier particles due to which the drug is attached in the throat. It results in less amount of drug reaching the lungs as major amount of the drug is deposited in the throat. Here, in this project, the aim is to formulate the combination of drugs salmeterol xinafoate (SX) and fluticasone propionate (FP) carrier free dry powder inhaler by employing spray-drying technique and investigate its properties like particle size, crystalline and amorphous content, moisture content and fine particular fraction
