This early work by Henri Poincaré was originally published in 1904 and we are now republishing it with a brand new introductory biography. 'Maxwell's Theory and Wireless Telegraphy' is an scientific work that details the discovery of Hertz oscillators, wave-lengths, dielectrics, and other aspects of Maxwell's theory. Jules Henri Poincaré was born on 29th April 1854, in Nancy, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France. Early on in his career, Poincaré established himself as one of the leading lights in European mathematics. His qualitative theory of differential equations made a huge impact and he used this revolutionary approach to tackle problems in celestial mechanics and mathematical physics. Alongside his career in mathematics, teaching at the University of Caen, École Polytechnique, and finally the University of Paris, Poincaré also contributed to the engineering industry. He worked at the Ministry of Public Services constructing the northern railway and became the chief engineer at the Corps de Mines in 1893 and eventually its inspector general in 1910.
