Reiki, a Japanese word which means "life energy" is an ancient healing system using the universal life energy to heal. It has grown in popularity since the 1970's, and is currently taught by trained instructors through initiations and workshops. Teresa Collins, a trained physiotherapist, qualified for Reiki in 1984 and has given over 60 workshops and 10,000 Reiki treatments and is a "Master's Level" instructor. As such, Reiki at Hand is the first instruction book to cover all three levels of Reiki, with step-by-step instructions for practicing and teaching the system.
