Donors to Sri Lanka have repeatedly made it clear§that aid will be linked to developments in the peace§process. Peace conditionality has been expected to§alter the incentives faced by the parties and §strengthen the momentum of the peace process.§§This book critically assesses the attempts to apply§peace conditionality in the Sri Lankan peace process.§What is clear from the outset is that the strategy§has been less than optimally effective.
