Book synopsis

Following a near fatal accident Luke's life is transformed when he is rescued by a mysterious island community. Luke finds himself caught up in an increasingly compelling web of mystery and intrigue, as an ancient prophesy seems to come true with intense psychological power. The only character who appears to have a full understanding of the island's purpose, and the true nature of the world outside, is the reclusive and wise teacher, Inesh. His death on the full moon, when Lalitchandra is supposed to be conceived, seems to mark the beginning of disaster for the islanders. But then something previously unsuspected is revealed about Luke. Ekanta is about the awakening of relationships, identity, and awareness of destiny. But it is also about the foolishness of communal belief, amidst a far more amazing reality. Ekanta is more than a story, it is a tapestry of high intensity, deeply woven symbolism and hidden meaning. The island is located somewhere in a post cataclysm new world, but the real setting is the unconscious psyche.
