Inspired by her love of poetry, and with the support of her loving parents, grade four student Siyoda Jayawardene has compiled some of her best poetic work into her new collection, 'From My Heart - A Collection of Poems', Illustrated by Roger Grose, Siyoda's art teacher, the book promises to be a warm and uplifting collection of verse from a very talented 10-year-old. She hopes that her poems will encourage other children to let their imaginations run wild, but also has a charitable mission in publishing her book. Proceeds from the sale of her work will go to Sole, a Sri Lankan charity providing sturdy shoes for children who may have otherwise gone barefoot.
