This book locates evil, dissects it, and focuses on how evil is engineered in the person s psyche. It s in the person s psyche where evil thinking and behavior is engineered. And the person s psyche is informed by whatever the person s unconscious tableau dictates. All that is carefully explained. Here, we relate evil to acting-out symptomatology with strong transference implications related to the wrongdoer s history and personality. In the second part of the book we discuss a variety of evils including an examination of genocides, a rather exhaustive psychological examination of Hitler s personality along with the personalities of others who have perpetrated unmentionable evil behaviors. Recent conferences on evil were terribly lacking in specifics. Rather they were replete with notions of what is considered good and nice and what is considered to be evil. The book discusses that it is not sufficient to identify Hitler as evil. We need to know how it happened, what happened to make him that way, and so forth. In this book, destructive and evil thinking and behavior are analyzed and synthesized with the person s psyche and personal experiences used as basic templates out of which is revealed the inner workings of evil.
