Jesus was not immune to the thoughts of the flesh. Subconsciously we think that because He was the Son of God, He had complete immunity to thoughts that come from living in a flesh body. We think that because He was God's Son, He was destined to obey God and that there was no way He could fail. We are told that Jesus was tempted like we are yet He remained sinless. We have knowledge about this statement because it is in the Bible. But when we have revelation about this statement that is what will change our life. The truth is, Jesus refused to allow the carnal way of thinking to dominate His life. If He had allowed it to dominate His life, then He would have made bread from stones in the wilderness because He was hungry. Also, if He allowed that way of thinking to dominate His life, He would have given in to the temptations of Satan because Jesus knew He was the Son of God and the temptations questioned Jesus about who He was. This book, Through the Rent Veil, will show us how that giving in to carnality will keep us from seeing God.
