Album prezentuje blisko 100 archiwalnych pocztowek przedstawiajacych Poznan z przelomu wieku XIX i XX oraz dwudziestolecia miedzywojennego. Poznan ukazany na starych pocztowkach to przede wszystkim miasto o waznym znaczeniu handlowym, ale tez posiadajace po pruskim zaborcy szereg monumentalnych budynkow, m.in. najlepiej zachowany pruski Zamek Cesarski czy klasycystyczny budynek Teatru Wielkiego. Pocztowki przedstawiaja rowniez zabytki renesansowe i barokowe, m.in. katedre i poznanski ratusz, a takze upamietniaja jedyny zwycieski zryw powstanczy na ziemiach polskich - powstanie wielkopolskie. Das Album präsentiert knapp 100 alte Postkarten, die Poznan um die Wende des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts, sowie der Zwischenkriegsjahre darstellen. Das auf den Postkarten gezeigte Poznan ist vor allem eine Stadt von großer Handelsbedeutung, aber auch Erbe der preußischen Architektur. Zu den monumentalen Bauten gehören u. a. das bestens erhaltene Kaiserschloss oder klassizistisches Gebäude von Teatr Wielki. Die Postkarten zeigen auch Renaissance- und Barockdenkmäler, u. a. die Kathedrale und das Rathaus; darüber hinaus verewigen sie die einzige erfolgreiche Erhebung auf polnischen Gebieten - den Großpolnischen Aufstand. The album presents almost 100 postcards depicting Poznan from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and from the 20-year long so called inter-war period [1918-1939]. First of all, Poznan depicted in the postcards is a city of considerable business significance but also a city, which after Prussian invasion was left with several monumental buildings like Imperial Castle or classical Grand Theatre. The postcards present also relics of Renaissance, the Cathedral and Town Hall and describe also the only victorious Polish uprising on Polish lands, the Greater Poland Uprising.
