During the time of the 1700's turning into the 1800's, Thomas Jefferson finally found time to accomplish his life-long dream. He had always admired the philosophy and concept of Jesus morality above all others and sought to provide it for himself for nightly reading. To do this he decided to cut from the KJV of the Holy Bible, actually just the New Testament, the things that in his opinion were the things that Jesus had actually said. Jesus never wrote anything. Everything we read or hear about Jesus are simply things passed on to us by word of mouth or writings that are most likely contaminated through the years because of translation errors, additions, and/or omissions.
