The third edition of Law of International Business Transactions moves beyond the area of arms-length sale of goods to deal with other strategies used by traders to penetrate foreign markets. The author discusses structures for doing business overseas including agency, distributorship, licensing, franchise, joint venture, and wholly-owned subsidiary against the background of the expanding opportunities for market penetration provided by the WTO Agreements covering services, intellectual property, and investment measures.
