The first paperback edition of a book which caused a bit of a stir when first published in 1999, revealing as it did the names of several KGB agents active in the UK in the fifties and sixties. A senior Soviet intelligence officer until 1984, Vasili Mitrokhin supervised the transfer of part of the KGBs archives to new headquarters, and defected with a trunkload of them to the UK. Co-written with Mitrokhin, Christopher Andrew is Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Cambridge and a leading espionage expert. 16pp b/w illustratios.
